We love what we do! We are always creating new designs and searching for new beading products to enhance our beaded collections. We started Baby Bead Treasures online store in 2007 and have sold our jewelry all over the world. We are celebrating our 16th year anniversary in 2023; we are now in our 16th year of making creative pieces of jewelry for everyone.
Behind the scenes? There is only one person currently handcrafting all of our baby jewelry, beaded watches, multiple strand mother's bracelets, gemstone and birthstone earrings and gemstone and birthstone necklaces and I'll tell you a little about me and how I started this wonderful journey.
My name is Deanna and I create all of our handcrafted jewelry that you see on our website. This journey became inspired to me by a friend/co-worker just before the birth of my second daughter. In October 2006, She had given me a beautiful baby birthstone bracelet for a gift. My daughter out grew this lovely bracelet and the search was on to find another. Unfortunately I came up empty handed and that is how this all began for me.
It was an interesting outcome for me. I started to research this new hobby at its entirety. I was very intrigued and before long many unnoticeable hours went into learning to incorporate a technique that seemed to work well with my type of creations. My focus was on creations that included bracelets for babies and young children. Our young daughters have worn the bracelets since tiny babies. Our girls still do wear the bracelets I create but now ask for certain patterns and color schemes. I can actually go to them now for fun, creative ideas on color schemes, patterns, and types of beads used to create a newly inspired piece for our on-line store. Our girls have evolved into wearing earrings, and the oldest girl likes necklaces more than the bracelets. Our daughters are now aged 16 years and 18 years old, they grow fast! I've saved all their baby bracelets as heirlooms for their baby books. It is such a beautiful memory to look back upon and see how tiny their little wrists actually were. And now my teenage children are showing interest by creating and making their own designs to wear and give to their friends.
Every jewelry designer inspires to find their own unique style of handcrafting their designs. There are several methods and styles you can use to complete an inspired creation. I am mainly a self taught jewelry designer. As the years pass along, I continue to become inspired and create more different types of handcrafted jewelry. I do focus on incorporating proven methods and various standard finishing techniques that are taught to me through many hours of research through the use of books, video media, on-line tutorials and attending workshops.

We then created a website through Yahoo! in March of 2011 to January 2017.
In January of 2017 we migrated over to a new online storefront using Shopify Ecommerce Platform. We are very excited to be launching a very fresh and new easy to use storefront for both mobile friendly and PC friendly. The biggest difference and upgrade is we are using a currency detector, if you are shopping from Canadian then our site will display in Canadian funds. If you are shopping from the US then our site will display in US funds. We have a built in blog so we can announce to our customers about new products that we create, and any special offers that we would love to inform you about. For local customers we can now take payment at trade shows using a secure payment processing device for credit cards, bank cards and we can even accept American Express now and Apple Pay.
We are in our 16th year with our on-line jewelry shopping store and look forward to many more year's shared with our customers. We only use the best precious metals such as .925-.955 genuine solid sterling sliver and 14-20K gold filled, and 14K gold vermeil to make these handcrafted bracelets, all of our precious metals are lead and nickel free (we do not use costume jewelry findings that contain toxic lead coatings, you may visit our "product safety" page of our website to read more information released from Health Canada)We always include an anti-tarnish zip lock bag with all of our bracelets and recommend storing the bracelet in the bag when not in use to prevent tarnish on bracelets with the satin sterling beads. We will also provide product care cards if the jewelry you purchase requires special care.
We only use 49 strand professional beading quality wire for all our bracelets. This wire has a test strength of 26 lbs and is very strong and durable. This is the best wire currently on the market. We also use the highest quality and the most durable findings that we can possibly find. We do always recommend a SUPERVISED setting with any young and active child that is wearing an accessory of any kind.
